Basic plan

Core soil AERATION

What's this?

Aeration is a technique that reduces soil compaction and aids in the decomposition of thatch.

Aeration consists of making holes in the lawn using a device that extracts small carrots of soil.

Core aeration promotes rapid infiltration of water into the soil and the distribution of fertilizers. It helps the roots to grow deeply. In short, your grass breathes better!

TRYLAWN recommends core aeration of the lawn at least once a year.

Top dressing

What's this?

It is the addition directly on the lawn of a thin layer composed of compost, compost, black earth, peat moss, sand ...

A layer of compost or compost and lawn seed (100% Kentucky Blue with Endophyte) is applied directly to the lawn.

Over time, the soil of your lawn is depleted. Landscaping restores minerals to your soil and contributes to a healthy lawn that is more resistant to disease and drought.

TRYLAWN recommends that the lawn be planted at least once a year.

Lawn treatment: lime

Lime treatment

What's this?

A practice that involves applying an agent to restore soil pH (reduce the level of acidity).

By spreading calcium (lime - limestone)

Why is the application of lime an essential practice?

By reducing the level of soil acidity, liming helps rooting, fertilizer efficiency, growth of soil microorganisms, and reduces the appearance of weeds.

TRYLAWN can assess your calcium needs through a soil test.

Ant Control

Your Trylawn specialist will first identify the type of ants. Then our certified technicians will accompany you throughout the ant treatment that will be personalized according to your needs and your situation, without risk neither for your children, nor for your pets.

Why act quickly?

Ants, such as carpenter ants, can enter the house and chew the wood, damaging the structure.

In case of proven infestation and when the large area insecticides no longer work, it is time to call the professionals of the disinsectisation.

White grubs pest treatment

What's this?

White grubs are the larvae of June beetles and beetles that live in grassy soil and consume the roots.

What are the signs of the presence of white grubs?

The damage of this insect is first observed by areas of grass yellow, irregular shapes and variable dimensions. You may also see many birds on your land, or even skunks, fond of white grubs.

Why act quickly?

Pest control must be done quickly because they reproduce quickly, especially during hot weather. By devouring the roots of the grass, they prevent the lawn from growing normally.

Verification of grubs is included in the Trylawn Basic Lawn Care Plan.

Insect pest control chinch bugs

What's this?

The chinch bug, also known as a stink bug, is a species that feeds on the sap of the blades of grass used in lawns (grass grasses).

What are the signs of chinch bugs?

It is in hot and dry weather that the damage caused by hairy bugs is most visible. As sunny areas are generally the most affected, the damage of the chinch bug can be confused with the symptoms of drought. Beginning in June, ravaged lawns have irregular yellow patches that grow during the summer.

Why act quickly?

The grass turns brown and dies in the absence of intervention measures. A severe hairy bug infestation can destroy an entire lawn in the space of a summer.

Check for chinch bugs is included in the Trylawn Basic Lawn Care Plan.
